SHEA BUTTER (Vitellaria paradoxa)

Hydrating: The concentration of natural vitamins and fatty acids in Shea butter makes it incredibly nourishing and moisturising for skin. It is often used to remedy dry skin and to help protect the skin’s natural oils.
Reduces Inflammation: One compound in particular, lupeol cinnamate, was found in research to reduce skin inflammation and even potentially help avoid skin mutations. This also makes it beneficial for some people with acne.
Skin Smoothing: Shea butter aids in the skin’s natural collagen production and contains oleic, stearic, palmitic and linolenic acids that protect and nourish the skin to prevent drying. With long term use, many people report skin softening and strengthening as well as wrinkle reduction.
Shea Butter offers great protection from the elements, helps to prevent photo ageing, and eliminates superficial irritations, burns, Eczema, dermatitis, dermatosis, and all damaged hair conditions.
Shea butter is an extremely therapeutic emollient with chemical constituents that help to heal bruising and soreness. It contains high levels of vitamins A and E, and cinnamic esters that possess high antimicrobial and moisturising properties that in turn heal and renew the skin.
Shea butter has a stimulating effect on the metabolism, and clinical research has indicated that it increases local capillary circulation, which in turn increases tissue re-oxygenation and improves the elimination of metabolic waste products. Another unique quality of raw Shea butter is its high protection against ultraviolet rays. Clinical tests consistently show that Shea butter without PABA naturally prevents sunburn when exposed to UV rays .

ALOE VERA (Aloe)

Aloe Vera has evolved herself over millennia to be the succulent, unparch-able, and restorative plant that she is. Thriving on intense drying heat and oxidizing sunlight, Aloe Vera becomes the juicy, moist and plump healer that we have all grown to love, revere and rely on. Her chemical makeup is the antidote to the drying and aging elements *which forged Her.
The Egyptians revered this juicy beautifying succulent, and Cleopatra daily mashed up the gel of this plant onto her infamously beautiful face. The result is the stuff of legends. Aloe Vera is a substance of perpetual youth and rapid healing. Naturally occurring MSM in the Aloe Vera leaf lends to this plant’s rejuvenating properties. Natural plant steroids and salicylic acid are delivered in the gel of Aloe Vera for soothed and nourished skin. As a potent source of living silica, Aloe Vera is excellent as a remedy for sun burns, toning, shrinking of pores, and hydration for all skin types. Aloe Vera makes it possible for the skin to regenerate itself daily with grace, beauty and radiance. Aloe Vera is a botanical moisturising skin protecting humectant.

HELICHRYSUM (Immortelle)

Helichrysum is best know for its proficiency in skin regeneration and the healing of scars. It improves stagnant circulation, which is absolutely crucial in order to have a glowing complexion, and is soothing for sensitive skin types. It is a moisturizing essential oil, and possesses potent anti aging properties that make it a highly prized oil in the skin care world. Helichrysum essential oil heals the skin through a three-pronged approach; it prevents free radical damage, reduces inflammation, and regenerates damaged tissue. And to top it all off, it is gentle enough for use on sensitive Jojoba Oil
Golden Jojoba oil is not an actual oil, but rather a liquid plant wax. Its chemistry is similar to human sebum and is thus good for those whose skin does not do well with other plant oils. Jojoba is an invaluable botanical for those who suffer from dry and oily skin because it teaches the skin to produce an appropriate amount of sebum. This is a very unique quality, and one that sets Jojoba apart from many other moisturizing plant oils. And just as it regulates sebum production, it is also very effective at unclogging congested pores, making Jojoba oil a truly unique and dual-acting Numerology skin care ingredient.

LIQUORICE (Glycyrrhiza glabra)

Alexander the Great supplied his troops with liquorice sticks to chew in battle to alleviate their thirst and keep their energy up. Today, Liquorice is a valuable ingredient in anti aging skin care due to the brightening effect it has on the skin. Pigmentation issues such as melasma, sun spots and dark scars are greatly improved when Liquorice is used.

VANILLA (V. planifolia)

Vanilla has anti-inflammatory properties, which can help to soothe and calm irritated skin. Vanilla has been used to reduce skin infections and in wound healing .The exciting benefits of vanilla in our skin care products go far beyond the signature scent—though of course, that’s one of its great gifts! But we like it for other reasons, too.
Antioxidant: Vanilla is a great source of natural antioxidants. These natural antioxidants help protect against environmental stressors.
B vitamins: You’ll find many of them in vanilla, including niacin, which is a key skin nutrient. Thiamin, riboflavin, vitamin B6, and pantothenic acid are also found in this natural extract.
